About Sandy Dole, ACC, founder of Activities for Geriatric Enrichment, (AGE):

Sandy Dole has over 37 years of long-term care experience, both institution and community based, planning, implementing and administering programs for elders and other individuals with special needs.  She has worked as an activity professional, marketing director, admissions' coordinator, resource developer, and public relations director.  Several years ago she started a consulting business, Activities for Geriatric Enrichment, (AGE).  Throughout her professional life, her primary focus has been elder advocacy and quality of life for residents as well as staff in long term care facilities.  She is a Del Tech graduate, with an A.A.S. in Human Services Gerontology Technology.  Sandy served on the CMS Panel of Experts for F248/249(Activities), and is a founding member of the Delaware Culture Change Coalition.

She has served on the boards of several agencies and organizations that provide support services and assistance to elders in a variety of settings.  Sandy is currently the immediate past President of the Delaware Council of Activity Professionals and serves as the state contact to the National Association of Activity Professionals, and the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.  She is a member of the review committee for the Delaware Health Care Facilities' State Certification Program for Activity Directors.  Most recently she was elected to the Special Trustee position on the National Association of Activity Professionals board of directors.  Previously, she served on the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals board of directors for a three year term.

Her not so professional life has included a strong interest in humor, which inspired her involvement in clowning as a volunteer, and as a teacher of the art to individuals of all ages, including nursing home residents.
